Silver Scale -
How cars are evaluated by Silver Auctions on a scale from 1 to
5
-
Perfect - Either showroom-new
or in competitive judging would defeat all others in its class.
-
Excellent - Fully restored
or an outstanding original. Has the appearance of a
car only 1-2 yrs old.
-
Very Good - A typical
newer car that you see driven daily on the street. From
a distance of 15ft, only minor flaws are visible.
-
Fair - Vehicle is presentable
and OK in most aspects, but needs some work.
-
Restorable - Vehicle
runs, and is mostly complete but rough throughout. You
would not want it parked in front of your house.

This sensational 1933 Packard Eight Roadster Re-creation was commissioned as a no-expense-spared tribute by noted pre-war collector, the late Craig Watjen, with emphasis placed on exacting details and a commitment to authenticity and quality. On a proper 136” wheelbase, the car is virtually indistinguishable from an original on sight. It features a fully disappearing convertible roadster top, all stainless/chrome brightwork, authentic 9” Solar Headlamps and original 8” Packard driving lights, gleaming 16-inch wire wheels wearing BF Goodrich Silvertown wide white wall tires, dual side mounts, hand finished leather upholstery, custom made luggage trunk, side-accessed golf club compartment, solid oak interior trim, and countless other details that delight the senses. The car is even titled as a 1933 Packard! It is only from behind the wheel that one will notice that this is, in fact, a more modern car with subtleties like fully integrated air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, electrical-fold rumble seat, and improved performance from a 472ci Cadillac V8, automatic transmission, power assisted brakes and steering, custom springs and heavy duty gas shocks. Built for a true connoisseur, this Packard would compliment any high-end classic collection. |

GTO |
1965 GTO Hardtop. PHS Documented! This car is drop-dead gorgeous. Don't let this one get away. The prices on these original muscle cars just keep going up and up. Ready for the next car show or to cruise down the boulevard. The car is basically stock. When we enter car shows, the car is in Stock Class and muscle car. New body mounts and rubber, new gas tank and lines, new fuel pump, new sending unit, brake lines, new upper and lower ball joints, new tie rod ends, new shocks front and rear, and front springs, detailed beautifully underneath. Rebuilt engine in September 2004 at 54,660 miles and Pertronix solid state ignition system was installed at the same time. The rear end has 3.55 positrac. The color is a 1988 Honda Cardinal Red Metallic. The rear window has a few scratches, but we do have a replacement rear window. Trunk rubber, hood rubber, window rubbers and door rubbers all replaced. Frame-off restoration in 2005 - everything underneath is very clean and new-looking. Seat upholstery (parchment) is in wonderful condition - no rips, tears, gouges, scratches. Headliner is also in wonderful condition - clean and blemish-free. Carpet looks brand new - clean and not worn. Following is a list of things that we have improved on the GTO since the restoration. We have virtually all the receipts for what we have done.

**No Reserve**
Rare 1950 Buick Roadmaster. Dyna Flow automatic transmission, 8 Cylinders, Only 319 miles DMV certified with a working odometer including an appraisal from an expert which certifies the mileage as being absolutely, verifiability correct! This exceedingly rare low mileage 1950 Buick Roadmaster was purchased new by a widow in Texas, only driving it to the store, post office, and kept it garaged. While driving the vehicle to the post office one day, she hit a steel post and dented the fender under the passenger headlamp. She then went to a doctor to see about her injuries and the discovery was made that she was going blind. She then let the car set for nearly 45 years until it was sold from her estate with an odometer reading of 207 miles when sold Sept. 26, 1995. The current owner purchased vehicle at auction in 2001. The primary mileage put on the car was to and from the paint, metal, and upholstery shop, and a mechanic to check to see if the car was in good working order. Includes receipt dated 10/11/2007 from a mechanic who made a thorough inspection of the car and all notes are on the receipt with items listed that needed replacement such as the battery, some belts, and general maintenance items. The mechanic noted that after the battery was replaced that the vehicle started every time. Tube radio works. U.S Royal Air Ride tires, The original color of the car was called "Calvin Gray." |
