Description:    This is a factory original Supercharged 812 Cord Convertible Phaeton. This car had been in a Doctor's private collection in climate controlled storage in Reno, NV for the last 40+ years. All numbers are correct: serial 17834. The restoration of this car was completed in December of 2009 by B & T Custom Rod and Restoration of Sparks, NV and no expense was spared. Has the factory Schwitzer-Cummins centrifugal supercharger providing 6 psi of boost and the handsome chrome exhaust pipes. The supercharged cars are even more highly sought after because each is said to be one of less than 200 cars produced. The increase in horsepower to the V8 288 cubic inch Lycoming engine is a sizable 36% bringing the power from 125 horsepower to a substantial 170. Approximately 195 of these very attractive Convertible Coupes were built during the two year life of the Cord 810/812. Only about 64, according to factory records, were supercharged. 1937 Cord 812 SC Phaeton an amazing automobile in all respects and a benchmark of American engineering.
