Description:    1967 Chevelle Malibu. Complete Frame Off Restoration. This car has undergone a complete reconstruction. Every square inch has been carefully gone over. The frame was separated from the body before media blasting to ensure that everywhere was cleaned. The frame was smoothed along the A-arms, cross-members, and control arms. The control arms were also enclosed for stronger support to the rear end. Every body mount and suspension bushing was replaced with polyurethane components. Disc brakes were placed on the front. Enhanced by a high volume master cylinder. Complete replacement of fuel and brake lines, as well as fuel tank. The underneath of the car, the frame, and the suspension parts were painted and then coated in an aircraft quality clearcoat coating, (extremely durable and supreme adhesion) The inside of the car was completely sealed before the sound deadener and insulation was installed. Rewired bumper to bumper with a brand new "painless wiring harness". Every connection under the dash was soldered. The interior was replaced. The seats were recovered and stitched to original design. The front seats are newer Chevy bucket seats recovered to 67 specifications. They give you a comfortable modern ride with the original look and feel as well as drivers side power controls. The body work was done, the necessary panels were replaced and the entire car was coated in black epoxy primer, then blocked several times. All removable panels were painted entirely black before assembly. Then the green was added, and the car was clear coated. The rest of the car was then assembled. The motor and transmission were built to compliment each other. The transmission, 700R4. Custom Hi Stall GM18A Torque Converter. Trans-Go Shift Kit. The Engine, This Chevy 396 crate engine has 400hp at 50rpm and 430ft lbs of torque at 4500rpm. This engine has a lopey idle and will run on leaded or unleaded 89 Octane pump fuel. The balanced rotating assembly includes: 3.766 stroke crank. 6.135" forged rods with APR bolts. 10 to 1 compression dome top pistons. More special features of this engine include seasoned 2 bolt main block. Deck head gaskets surface on block to ensure a good seal. Hydraulic flat tappet cam with .527"int/.553 exh valve lift. New 2.070"int/1.720Exh valves with high performance springs setup to match cam. 1.7 Roller tip rocker arms. Hardened push rods. Perfect circle rings. Double row timing set. High volume oil pump with welded pick up screen. Revolutionary 1 pc design molded rubber oil pan gasket with load limiters to prevent over tightening and higher temperature resistance. Brass expansion plugs. Edelbrock Dual Plane Performer aluminum intake manifold. Holley carburetor. Electronic Ignition. Custom fitted FlowMaster exhaust sytem (high temp Powdercoated) Ceramic coated headers. B&M Megashift. Restoration completed by Jeff Bird of White Desert Rods. Engine by Tuff Dawg Engines. Transmission by Inter mountain transmissions. Interior by Jack Larsen Uphol. Paint by AFI Paint.
