The Mercedes-Benz SL name has always signified a certain level of automotive style and sophistication, and each new generation seems both to define and be defined by its era. The R107 model SL debuted in 1972, and for 1975 was powered by a 4.5 liter fuel-injected V-8 engine featuring an overhead cam delivering 180 horsepower. It was paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Suspension was fully independent and four-wheel disc braking was standard. These automobiles are renowned for their engineering and driving comfort.
This is a gorgeous example of a one family owned Mercedes-Benz Roadster sporting 90% factory original Harvest Beige paint and a nearly perfect Palomino interior. This car was purchased new by the current owner’s father who lovingly cared for it until his passing. His daughter took the Mercedes to her home in Southern California and drove it sparingly over the last 25 years. The car was maintained in top driving condition during her ownership as evidenced by full maintenance records from 1991 to present.
