This 1952 Nash Healey Pininfarina Roadster was originally ordered and owned by Charles Tyroler II who was a member of the President’s Intelligence Oversight board during the Reagan and Bush administrations and a long time United States Democratic Party strategist. It was originally factory equipped with a Nash 6 cylinder engine and double carburetors, but later the engine was swapped in 1957 when the first Chevrolet 348 V8 engine became available. This cutting edge engine was bought directly from the factory. Tyroler retained the original Nash transmission. A custom dual exhaust was also added to the car. This rare beauty has a champagne ivory exterior (which was one of only two colors known to be offered during this production time) with burgundy leather interior. Purchased out of New Jersey sometime in the late 1980s by a US-German citizen living in Virginia. He drove it for about 3 years, and (this will sound familiar to many) – he parked it in his garage and there it sat for about 23 years, until purchased by its third owner in 2013. Nash may be an American Automotive company of the past, but 100 years later we can still value the design work that went into creating some of the most iconic vehicle components. We can thank Nash for the first offered HVAC system (heating and cooling), seat belts, and reclining seats. Nash produced the first proto-type muscle car, the Rambler Rebel, the fastest stock vehicle offered at that time. Donald Healey was very interested in creating a car built with a Cadillac V8 engine. Healey decided to set out to America on the Queen Elizabeth to try and save his motor company and meet with Cadillac's chief engineer, Ed Cole, to possibly have production of their V8. On the ship he happens to strike up a conversation with a tall, portly gentleman carrying an elaborate stereo camera rig. The man turned out to be George W. Mason, president of the Kenosha, Wisconsin-based Nash-Kelvinator Corporation. Mason turned out to be very interested in Healey’s concept so he invited him to visit Kenosha if his meeting with Cadillac didn’t pan out.

1961 Rare Auto Union (DKW) 1000 S with the coveted “wrap-around” windshield has been owned and maintained by four previous owners since new in 1961. The first owner had it for 14 years before selling it off in 1975 to a party who resold it a few months later. The third owner had it for 36 years as a daily driver until 2011 when the last owner acquired it. The vehicle started its restoration process shortly after he received it giving it a full frame-off restoration. The water-cooled 3 cylinder 2 stroke in-line front wheel drive engine with a 4 speed column shift freewheeling transmission has had a full overhaul receiving new crank, pistons, rings, and gaskets all imported from Germany. He acquired replacement parts from around the world to make sure the vehicle kept its original componentry and authenticity. It has been completed with period colors inside and out and the chrome has been redone. Metric bolts were used in the restoration process and it has received all new coils, hoses and belts throughout. This vehicle has been tested and regulated to the highest standards. Included with vehicle is the full documentation of restorations including; receipts, before, during, and after photos, and proof of ownership history. Over $30,000.00 has been invested in parts and labor. This is a wonderful example of a properly restored and maintained factory Auto Union (DKW) from 1961, the last year of production and just prior to the first re-branding as Audi.

This one really pops. Cosmopolitan Motors to prepare for auction installed new seals under the front and back lids, inspected and touched up any paint imperfections, cleaned the inside and convertible top, installed new cardboard liners under front bonnet, and sand blasted and repainted the wheels. More than $11,000 has been spent renovating this beauty. This car was in possession of the previous owner for over a decade and he had really enjoyed it. He purchased it in L.A. and drove it back to Seattle without incident. During the time it was in his care, he restored much on the mechanical components of the car with the intention of a full restoration at some point but was unable to move forward with the overall completion of the car. This is a very nice example of a 420 that has been well maintained; a California car that has always been garaged and not abused. Much has been done to this car to make it reliable mechanically but very little has been done cosmetically. The paint is the original color (Willow Green) but just completed a total quality repaint. Very rare 1968 Supercharged Hemi Dart. Engine: It’s a Keith Black Stage III 505ci aluminum Hemi with aluminum heads and a Comp solid-roller, custom ground with a 0.645/0.638-inch lift and 246/256-degree duration at 0.050. The heads have a raised D-port and are heavily ported. Sitting atop the Weiand intake is a pair of Holley 950s and fuel is supplied by an Aeromotive A-1000 in-tank pump, which is housed in an Aeromotive 20-gallon fuel cell. Ignition comes from a Firecore distributor, A Crane Fireball HI-6 control box and MSD wires. Exhaust includes custom 2-1/8-inch headers, an H-pipe with 3-1/2-inch tubing, and Glasspacks. Accessories include a Mezarie electric water pump, Mercedes electric fans with a Micro Automations controller, and a custom mount that fits a Dodge Neon alternator to the front of the engine. From 4,000–7,000 rpm, 600 rwhp with 5 psi of boost.The boost has been turned up to 10 psi now the motor has been gone through for a second time by Valley Head Service in Northridge CA. According to Larry at Valley Head, the motor is pushing 1200 hp to the crank. The engine had originally been designed and built by Dick Landy Industries for a well-known race boat that campaigned in Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks area. The combo was raced successfully for many years, until the engine finally got hurt sometime around 1995. Transmission: The 727 is fitted with a PTC 4,000-rpm-stall torque converter, a stock valvebody, and a Fairbanks shift kit. Rearend: It’s a Mopar 8-3/4-inch with a Sure Grip and 3.91 gears. Suspension: The front is stock torsion bar, while the rear has monoleafs, Cal Tracs bars, and Rancho shocks. Brakes: The front discs are from a Chrysler Cordoba, the stock rear drums are on the 8-3/4. Wheels/Tires: The front Weld Alumistars are a 15×6-inch size with Continental 195/70R15 tires. The rear Alumistars are 15x9s and are fitted with Hoosier 29×11.5-15LT DOT tires. Paint/Body: The body is mostly stock, except for the opening up of the rear wheelwells. That was done to make it look like the original 1968 Hemi Super Stock Dart drag cars, and we dig it. James Smith Muscle Cars in Zeigler, IL, which is the shop that did the bodywork and paint using a Mercedes-Benz silver basecoat/clearcoat finish. Interior: Continuing the Super Stock vibe inside the car,which was fitted a set of A-100 van seats to make it, as he says, “like the original Super Stockers.” As with the radiused fenders, we love it. The ideal minimalist treatment continues with Auto Meter gauges and set of Crow seatbelts as the only add-ons to such original bits like a stock steering wheel and a radio-delete plate.

This amazing Mustang GT is finished in black, which shines deeply. This bad to the bone coupe is ready for your trip to the drag strip or maybe autocross. It is equipped with the already powerful high output 5.0 liter roller cam V8 engine stock. Many performance upgrades have been added: a Ford performance COBRA 5.0 intake has been added to increase flow into the engine. Feeding this intake is a cold air intake feeding outside air from behind the front bumper. Firing off the charge in the engine is a full MSD high output ignition system including distributor, coil and brain. The exhaust under this monster is anything other than stock. A set of long tube racing headers feed a full 3” racing X pipe dual exhaust with high performance catalytic converters to keep the car street legal. The suspension on this Mustang has also been upgraded as well. The front and rear sub frames have been bridged with welded in structures to stiffen the chassis to take the power to the ground. A Hotchkiss performance suspension has been added complete with racing struts and a multi-point strut tower brace up front. Putting the power to the ground is a slick shifting 5 speed factory manual transmissions. A set of Michelin Pilot Sport radials are shod on the factory 5 spoke alloy wheels to grip the road ahead. Some would call this Mustang a SLEEPER, but make no mistake. It’s a MONSTER!
